Rapidly Renewable Materials are harvested in a 10 year life cycle or less. Johnsonite linoleum is made from 75% rapidly renewable materials. Its beauty you can feel good about. We use wood and cork flour, limestone and linseed oil. Nothing unpronounceable. Or harmful to the environment. It’s the new feel-good flooring, aesthetically, environmentally and economically. Most other products contain stearic acid and/or soybean oil.
- Our Replay and Terra-Turf rubber flooring systems are manufactured from recycled, post-consumer truck tires. We also reuse various forms of mixing; dust and colander scrap in our Triumph, Inertia and Vent Cove sports flooring products. In addition, some off-spec tiles are ground and reused as decorative speckles in our other products.
- For extruded products, we reuse off-spec product and scrap, which are reground, and compounded back into our wall base, molding, leveler and vinyl stair tread systems. As a responsible innovator, we always seek ways to incorporate various scrap streams.
